The Accidental Chiropractor

 I wish that I could share an inspirational story about how, when I was a child, I had an amazing experience with a chiropractor and that they inspired me to be just like them some day. But that just isn’t the case.

I applied for the Bachelor of Chiropractic science at Macquarie University without ever having received an adjustment, or even really knowing what chiropractic was all about.

At school I had a keen interest in maths, physics and engineering, but I really didn’t want to work in a lab. My uncle suggested chiropractic, and it simply felt right. As it turns out, chiropractic challenges my physics and engineering brain daily, yet also complements my other interests in health, sports and neurology. All while allowing me the opportunity to chat with interesting people every day.

 I grew up on the northern beaches of Sydney and Studied at Macquarie University, and since completing my Master of Chiropractic I have been fortunate enough to live and work in many different places all over Australia and overseas.

This has allowed me to see chiropractic from various professional perspectives and I have developed a very clear sense of what type of chiropractor I want to be.

 Evidence Based Approach to Health Care

 My brand of chiropractic is very biomechanical and evidence based with an emphasis on manual adjusting, soft tissue work and rehabilitation. I have a particular interest in the biomechanics of weight lifting and gym work in general, and like to apply dry needling in some situations to compliment my chiropractic adjusting (for all people, not just gym-goers).

We all know that the musculoskeletal system does not work in isolation, and this approach helps me to deliver a balanced treatment to my patients.

 Healthy Body Healthy Mind

My personal interests include kickboxing for fitness, Krav Maga for fun, yoga, reading, dancing, horse riding, playing with my dogs, 4WDing and camping, music in all capacities, hanging out with my husband and brunching with friends. And, of course, coffee.

 I look forward to meeting you and your family and get everyone feeling the best they possibly can be.

Dr Yvonne Tan - B.Sc., B. Chiro

Dr Yvonne Tan completed her 5 year chiropractic degree at Murdoch University. Her own personal experience of constant headaches and insomnia lead her to visit a chiropractor- the benefits of her treatment were so effective and positive, this gave her the inspiration to pursue a career in the field which strongly align with her altruistic and passionate nature to help others.

Friendly and professional, she uses a natural, non-invasive approach towards treatment helping to improve, gain, and maintain optimal movement of the joints and muscles in the body, helping you to function at your best. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga and Pilates, playing squash, and playing the piano. She looks forward to meeting you to get started on your journey toward optimal health

Dr Camille (Millie) Ebeling - BChiro(Dist), BSc(ClinChiro)

Hi, I’m Camille - a Chiropractor, fitness enthusiast, and military veteran.

My professional life started when I joined the Australian Army at 17. I served for six years in various roles, and I loved the physical nature of the work and the comradeship of working with a group to achieve our goals.  

The demanding physical nature of this profession often leads to injury, and later in my service, I started to experience low back pain, which troubled me for years. Surprisingly, this back pain ultimately led me down the path to becoming a chiropractor. 

I was fortunate enough to meet an amazing chiropractor who helped me with my back pain but also shared my opinion that exercise was vital to recovery. Rather than telling me to “stop exercising”, as was often the advice given to me at that time, she taught me to “move better”. As I transitioned out of defence, I knew that chiropractic was the career for me. 

I have continued to remain passionate about using my knowledge of biomechanics and evidence-based practice to educate and treat those that rely on movement for their career or sport. Of course, these chiropractic principles also apply to everyone from all walks of life.  

My focus is on injury prevention, rehabilitation and pain relief. I offer a range of techniques that are individualised to each person’s goals, including spinal adjustments, mobilisations, soft tissue therapies and dry needling. 

Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, walking my dog, camping in our decked out troop-carrier, cooking and going to the gym. 

Dr Jayden Meyer

Chiropractor

Dr Jayden is a graduate of Murdoch university with a double bachelors in science and clinical chiropractic.

Initially from the northwest he experienced a back injury while playing basketball as a teenager which exposed him to the benefits of chiropractic care. Following a short career in the navy he left to pursue further education as a chiropractor.

Dr Jayden is passionate in treating not just spinal related injuries but also rehabilitation, muscle injuries and strength and condition.

With a focus on evidence-based treatments Jayden uses a mix of chiropractic adjustments coupled with muscle energy techniques and dry needling.

In his spare time he enjoys playing AFL at the Winnacott Eagles, golf, camping and getting back north to Carnarvon where he can.
